City Relations

Many thanks go out to those who were involved with the tree triming clean up. Mike Halsema, Paul Williams , Gary Richey, who sustained injuries from flying thorns and Fern Richey manned the mower. Angie and Tim Johnson assisted as well as all the tugging and pulling done by Sara Marotto and her sister Anna Cavnar. Karen Rooney showed up at the end and helped with the final cleanup. All in all we were able to not use any of the monies collected yet and still maintain the front thanks to the volunteer efforts of the board and our OMNA residents in time money and equipment. The cleanup, however, took six hours and could have been shortened to 1.5 hours with a few extra hands. Next time we hope for more participation. Afterwards the piles were left and we had to communicate with the city for pick-up.

Mike Messer was able to get in contact with Billy the operations manager with the solid waist in Denton.

Tonya came through for us and Billy was receptive to helping us out on the pick up after clean up.

Billy drove by our piles and called Mike back afterwards. He requested that we consolidate them into 3 piles and once we do this he will schedule a truck to come out and pick up the piles. He will drive behind the truck to keep the traffic off the workers when this occurs.
He will also eat the cost of doing this for us this time!

The agreement for this service was that next time we stack the cuttings in front of the lots in 4 foot sections and less than 8 cubic feet. (Again folks - we had to go out and pile it up)

Nothing is that easy but we can do it!
