Are there any landscaping contractors that live in our subdivision ? I'm looking for someone that can do a stone patio and maybe plant some shrubs. I'm fairly new here and could use some help.
Thanks !

Be careful who you hire. Not all contractors are honest, dependable or reasonable. If I were you , I would look outside for a reputable company. Remember, if you have problems with the job someone here does, it can put you in an awkward situation. |

I kind of agree with the previous poster. It might be like hiring a family member and not getting what you paid for. A quick story: When we first moved in I hired a company to build a deck, and brick patio. I thought I would have him do it when we were out of town, and it would be done when we got back. It was done, but totally wrong. He had all the same color bricks in one part of the patio, the deck was to have deck boards and they used 2 x 6 boards. The arbor they built was to have 6x6 posts and they were 4x4. I called them back to come fix it and they did part, and were coming back later to fix the rest. In the mean time they went out of business and I could not get in contact with them. Just recently we decided to have our deck enclosed into a screen porch. A friend of mine referred me to a company for a quote. When the person arrived it was the same person who did the deck in the first place. I wanted to reach through my door and strangle him. Found out he did what some unethical contractors do. Close one shop, dismiss all the problems and open another. You might want to check angies list on the web, or ask a neighbor who did their work.
