If you know so much
then you better actually start thinking out of the tiny little box you are in. The reason some people may not be selling their houses (supposedly because they may have to take a loss) is because our prices were overinflated to begin with. The houses you refer to on Ireland Court were very overpriced when they were sold to the same people. It drove up everybody else's prices thinking they can do the same. Once you buy a house for a price that is too high, do you think you are going to recover any time soon.

to change
If people didnt like what was going on more than 12 people would show up to the hoa meetings. Why do you think we only have one meeting a year and that is usually to elect a new trustee. Have you talk to the trustees to see what they have to say? If you read the newspapers it is a buyers market, even new builds are down. So if you want to sell your house you might have to take a loss. Just like the stock market one day you might up and the next day you could lose everything, like gm and ford.

So your answer is?
So if I read these reply's correctly those are suggesting we just sit back and do nothing?
Maybe, just maybe, we could make this a development that people want to live in because we have the means to make sure your neighbors house does not look like hell.
Tell me why it is a bad idea to investigate a way to make sure we can enforce the deed restrictions that are there? I also heard of a situation involving a house where the realitor brought a customer to the home, they got out looked accross the street and never looked at the house because of the house accross the street. ( This from the sales person ).
Maybe two or three of those twelve would be interested in doing some work to look into this issue. Why stop it? Give a good reason to stop it.
Are GM and Ford loosing everyting? I doubt it, and they are taking the steps they need to take to make sure their investors don't loose everything. Look into some of the cars GM plans to come out with. If you know it all you will see they will be competitive. It is for the same reason we need to protect our investment that GM and Ford are making the changes they need to make to make sure they create value for their investors. How can we create value for the investers in BBf if we sit back and watch the other subdivisions ( analogy may be Honda, or Toyota ) move forward.
OK maybe we should just be complacient. Did you ever read the book '' Who Stole my Cheese''. You have to look out for what you have, and what got you where you are. Don't give me this crap about ''Well I talked to so and so and they don't care''.
If that is your attitude than just sit back, eat your cheese and get fatter, when it comes time for you to need to get your money back then YOU cry.
So ''mouse'' what is your answer to protecting your cheese.

to change stupid response
So like GM and Ford are not doing anything to protect their investors?
The poster is correct. We need to do the same to protect ours. If you know so much on GM and Ford maybe you should look at why they will be a force in the future. It is because of the changes they are making due to the market. We need to change too. We need to change to insure our investment here. Don't just sit back and watch your investment decline because some person moves in next door who does not care.
If you had to take a significant loss on your investments today would that make you feel good? Or would you think maybe you should have done something to protect your investment?
Wow my head is about to explode.
