Outside appearance
I so agree with your statements. Is there any good, inoffensive way to approach a neighbor and ask them to take care of their lawn? |

You are brilliant!
You brought up ONE neighborhood that is a golf and country club community. They pay $40,000 just to join the country club with full privileges and have to spend hundreds per month at the restaurant/bar or they automatically get charged. You may want to check other neighborhood deed restrictions. There are quite a few with no fines in their restrictions. Go to a rotary meeting and ask people where they live and if they have fines. I am sure you will not share your findings here. |

to not so brilliant
I would be willing to bet 80% of the people you are talking about don't belong to a country club? They also spend a great deal of money to maintain thier landscaping which is far above the minimal needs we have here. So if they can fine, maybe we can too. Then maybe the other subdivisions would get on board. A suggestion at the next meeting should be to get all the HOA's together for a meeting on how to be consistant and how to properly hold people accountable for complying with their deed restrictions. What about the house on the corner of Waynebrown and Big Bear. On the Pond. Once had a beatiful yard. Now it looks like hell. I believe this couple should be able to afford to cut their grass. They just bought the house and one of them is a doctor? It all goes back to just being responsible neighbors. If I lived beside them I would press whoever to do whatever they could to get these people into compliance. I think you would to. Someone always comes up with excuses. |
