Our Mission
The mission of the Olympus Garden Club is to promote and support the love of gardening, floral arranging, farming,landscape design, horticulture, plant research and environmental improvement by providing education, resources, networking and leadership opportunities for our members and community.
Who Are We?
We are a not-for-profit tax-exempt, charitable, 501(c)(3) corporation and we are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. The club was formed in 2003 by a group of plant lovers, caring, and civic-minded individuals and is dedicated to the betterment, preservation, conservation and beautification of our environment and community. Our membership includes horticulturists, floral arrangers, master composters, garden volunteers and staff members, garden docents, educators, and engineers. We are a Kings County, Brooklyn, New York, Federated Garden Club of New York State in District II and consequently, members of the Central Atlantic Region and National Council of State Garden Clubs, National Garden Clubs, Inc.
When do we meet?
The 4th Monday of each month except in December we meet on the 2nd Monday. Our meetings begin at 6:00 p.m.
Where Do We Meet?
Our meetings are held at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225. Please check with the security guard at the desk as you enter the building for the room assignment
What Are The Dues?
Club dues are paid annually at the January meeting.
Membership is $30.00 per year.
