Each October, the P.E.A.C.E. Initiative coordinates and creates events in San Antonio to bring awareness to the problem of domestic violence.
We are currenty in the planning stages for October 2005 events. If you have any ideas, suggestions or would like to coordinate an event, please contact us at (210) 533-2729.
This year's theme is "Family P.E.A.C.E.: Heartbeat of the Community". The idea being when family members experience peace with each other, community life pounds with love, safety, health, well-being, security, joy continuity and stability.
We can better help in reducing domestic violence if we can speak up and talk about domestic violence, educate ourselves about dynamics involved in an abusive relationship and learn how to help those in violent relationships.
Many awareness events are planned for October. As events are planned, we will be updating our calendar. Please go to the community calendar for more detailed information on each event or visit our main website www.thepeaceinitiative.net.
