About our association

Who we are and what we want to do

We are the residents of Palm Grove Gardens and its apartment complex. yet we still want to make it a place of beauty and peace, so when family and friends come to visit they can feel safe and don't have to worry about other people.We feel like this is our home and we really want to make it like that.

As the president of the neighborhood association
i would like for us to join in with other associations to see what they are doing and how and what tools they are using to get people
together for meetings and working together.
I would also like a way to get the youth together
and younger kids together with their parents
for their input on different goals and programs.

Also a program for our senior citizens in the
neighborhood. something that they would take an
interest in, and help us out with the youth.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS THAT WE AS TENNANTS WANT FOR OUR NEIGHBORHOOD?

1. To make palm grove gardens a safe neighborhood.
2. To beautify and keep it clean for our seniors and children.
3. To teach our young adults how to become self-sufficient.
4. Start a training class on job search and resumes.
5. Have a class on health and child care for our single parents.
6. Help our youth do better in school and riding the busses.
7. To help our children build up their self esteem and parents also.


These are some of our goals and dreams for our neighborhood,
Also to work with others in the entire community of the northwest
Sector. This means that City and County can work together for every
Neighborhood. Whether it is apartment complex or homeowners
Association. We need to work as one.

Domestic Violence Meeting

Wednesday evening the children and Natasha had
their time of recreation and she had a young
lady with her. I am sorry i din not get her name.
The kids enjoyed every minute of the time they
spent with them. After they finished we had two
guest from FAMU's School of law.Christie Richardson FAMU college of Law and Jarenmonte-Shay and they wre talking about Domestic Violence
for male and female.Battered women syndrone.
they also talked about the percentage of women
that go to Jail,because the police seemed to think that black people as a whole or violent
people anyway. In listening to them talk you
would want to try and change the way people
feel and thank about us and our families,
alsso our lifestyles.This should make low- income
people want to do better in their neighborhood.
It should also make women as a whole want to change and do better for themselves and their
children. I am still trying to figure out how
to get people to attend these meetings, without
looking for food and drinks,also not coming to
complain about things or people,but come together
to work things out for ourselves.We really enjoyed the meeting and would like to have them back again. sincerely your neighborhood president. Fronie Jones.
