Parker Shares

If you eat you qualify

Parker Shares is an organization that anyone can join, sponsored by Catholic
Charities. However, anyone can join. The homesite is
located @ Ave Maria Church in
Parker.

A food share can be purchased
at different prices. A regular
share is $20:00 which is worth
$50:00 at the grocery store-
There is a large variety of
fruits , vegetables, and meat
There is a Jr. package for
$10:00, but, has less food.
There is also a Family Package
which is one that will possibly serve up to 4 people.
It also has a different variety of food. The final menu is called Choice. Here
you have a choice of individual food items that you
would prefer, rather than a
full menu. The price on this
depends on the items you pick,
because each item is individ-
ualy priced.

The only requirement that a
person needs is to do 2 hours
of community service for each share purchased. The service
could be a coach for sports,
school volunteers, help at a
nursing home, and things of that nature. The service must
be for at least 2 hours month.
You can get your service time
on distribution day by helping
at the church, or going to the warehouse for food pickup.

Each month the participants will get a newspaper with their share. The paper has the menu for the next month--
Regular, Junior, Family, and
Choice. The date for the next
months distribution day will
also be listed.

Our Hostsite needs help to go
to the warehouse to pick up the food, as well as to help
at the church for distribution
