Pebble Creek is a large community about 15 minutes north east of Downtown Greenville in Taylors, South Carolina. Many of the original homes were custom designed so you definitely do not get that cookie cutter feel in this neighborhood. Residents appreciate the area's large trees, roomy lots and the strong sense of community within the developments. Residents can join the Pebble Creek country club and enjoy amenites like two 18 hole golf courses, driving range,tennis courts, and a swimming pool. There are quite a few communites in Pebble Creek that have homes with golf course lots around Pebble Creek golf course. It is a beautiful area so close to Downtown Greenville. Price ranges of homes vary in Pebble Creek and can go from about $150,000 to $400,000. The schools associated with the Pebble Creek area are Paris Elementary, Sevier Middle, and Wade Hampton High school and the Fine Arts Center.
Construction on the Pebble Creek Golf Course began in 1973 and the original Creek Side course opened in 1974. Both 18 hole courses Creek Side and Link Side were designed by Tom Jackson. As a golf course designer Tom worked with Robert Trent Jones and George Cobb. In 2007 Tom Jackson was inducted into the Carolina Golf Hall of Fame by the Carolina Golf Reporters Association. Tom and his wife Ramonda continue to live in the house they built in Pebble Creek Phase One in 1978.
Pebble Creek was the largest subdivision approved at the time, the development called for between 1,250 to 1,500 homes on 675 acres. Pebble Creek is home to a wide variety of birds including a family of red tailed hawks, herons and geese. In 1991 Pebble Creek was designated an official bird sanctuary.
