Pebble Creek Phase 1

Pebble Creek Chronicle Winter 2014 Edition

A Note from your PCHA-Phase 1 President

Dear Neighbors,

Suddenly, summer has flown by and autumn is upon us. Pleasant temperatures have arrived as dry, beautiful leaves have started to fly by the millions. And only a few billion left!  A wonderful time to be in Pebble Creek!

Your HOA board has been busy and made remarkable progress on a number of items. Most noticeable are the new blue street signs which complement the ambiance of PC. Board members of nearby HOA's have inquired about details because they find this design and color scheme attractive. Three more street signs and posts will be erected within a few weeks.

The entrance sign at State Park Road has been lighted at night since May and the lights at the Stallings Road sign will be installed within a few weeks. Mulch has been added along Pebble Creek Drive under the power lines, as well as numerous places around PC. Overgrown brush has been brought under control along Stallings Road. All of this has occured because of the efforts of Chad Stetar, our Landscaping and Architecture chairman.

Doug Cheek, HOA President in 2012, volunteered to head the Delinquent Dues Committee, along with Jack Clark, 2013 President and Sheila Manchester, Treasurer. She has worked tirelessly for six months on this effort. As a result delinquent dues have been collected at a record level.

The Pebble Creek webpage www.pebblecreekphase1.com has been updated by Roxanne Cordonier. Our thanks to former board member Jay Farrington for setting this free website up for us! We will be using this website for email blasts, newsletter circulation and reminders about important local events like our annual board meeting. Shelia Manchester and Social Chair Donna May have been compiling the most up to date data base of email addresses and phone numbers for our HOA members.

For years our Duke Energy bill for neighborhood street lights has included several lights on Pebble Creek Golf Course property. As a result of this discovery by Chad Stetar, we received a refund check of over $2,300 from Duke Energy and our monthly bill will be reduced about $200. These funds will be used to purchase new street signs.

The falling leaves require constant diligence. Let's keep Pebble Creek looking as nice as possible by removing leaves from the street and gutters in a timely fashion.

Hope to see many of you at our upcoming social and annual meeting in January!
I trust this year has been a good one for you and your families, as it has for Nancy and me.

All the best,

Ray Meyers
