Our diligent and resourceful Overland Park neighbors deserve the heartfelt thanks of Platt Parkers for watchdogging the Shattuck Chemical Site clean-up policies and procedures. More of the same input and constructive response will be necessary throughout the removal of the superfund-category waste pile and the eventual redevelopment of the site. Please keep informed on the project and attend the meetings, especially when public hearings or information sessions are announced. The Overland Park Neighborhood Association has formed a ?“Shattuck Citizens Advisory Group?” which holds regular meetings that all concerned citizens are welcome to attend.
