Progress & Preservation . . . Together, Inc. is hosting a Garden Tour in the East Washington Park neighborhood on Sunday, August 18, 2002, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Model T Ford Club of America will join the Garden Tour with five vintage Fords to compliment the nine beautiful gardens that will be featured on the tour. Brochures with descriptions of each garden, the original home owner and sponsor information will be provided with each ticket purchase.
Tickets, for a donation of $8.00, may be purchased in advance at Rain Field, 719 S. University Blvd., 303.77.3729, or on the day of the tour for $10.00. Tickets will be sold at each of the gardens until 2:00 p.m., with the tour ending at 3:00 p.m. Parking is available at South High School (at Louisiana & Franklin) in easy walking distance of all of the gardens on the tour. Signs will point the way from South High to the nearby gardens.
Progress & Preservation . . . Together, Inc. is a grass roots neighborhood non-profit volunteer association that is working on historic designation for a portion of the Washington Park East neighborhood. The project is funded in part by a State Historical Fund grant award from the Colorado Historical Society. The Garden Tour is part of PPT's fund raising for grant-matching funds.
