The Arts & Crafts Movement has within it several architectural
time periods. 1900-1920s we saw Bungalows (one story or 1and 1/2 story homes) and Craftsman (two story homes) being built. The 1930s were the era of Tudors. The 1940s was the era of Wright's Prairie style (he was very much influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement). This movement effected not only the style of homes built but their furnishings, artwork, and even the lifestyle of the times. Now the Movement is being revisited today and regaining respect nationally.
Here are a few Arts and Crafts Web sites you might enjoy. These are primarily educational or cultural interest sites though some may contain commercial content of links. We do not endorse any of these businesses, the sites are listed for informational purposes only.
