The State Historic Fund will be the publisher of a study on Economic Benefits of Historic Preservation in Colorado. Clarion and Rykema will perform the study. It will cover:
1) Property Values - The impact of historic preservation on property values within a locally designated historic district, compared to those in a state or national designated district.
2) The economic impact of Historic Preservation on constuction.
2) Heritage Tourism
Several issue papers will result covering - affordable housing, gentrification and rural preservation (on the Eastern Plains).
They hope to have a written draft by the Spring of 2001 and a final draft will follow.
