Ramsgate is a neighborhood of 264 homes located in a triangle roughly defined by Mandarin Road, Loretto Road, and San Jose Boulevard. The first homes were built in 1976 and the last in the mid-1980's. The Ramsgate Homeowners Association was reorganized into it's present form in 1986 by Betty Tracy and Eliot Safer.

The Ramsgate Homeowners Association was reorganized to it's present form in 1986. It is one of the oldest, if not THE oldest neighborhood associations in Mandarin. We have 264 homes within our boundaries. All residents -- homeowners and renters alike -- are invited and encouraged to join the RHA.
Membership dues are $35 a year (due annually in January). Monies collected through membership are our sole source of funding for our many social events, the electricity and upkeep of the two common entrances, and enewsletter and web site costs, welcome baskets, donations and memorials among other activities.
One of the most important aspects of our neighborhood is our participation in the Jacksonville CrimeWatch Program. Jim Robertson is our Ramsgate CrimeWatch Coordinator. All incidents of crime, including vandelism, should be reported to the JSO (630-0500) and to Fred or Alan. Incidents are recorded and if trends are noted, such as with yard wheelings, the help of the JSO is requested.
Newsletter
The RHA published and mailed a quarterly Newsletter to all Ramsgate residentsfor 20+ years. Effective May, 2014, a paper newsletter will no longer be used in favor of an e-newsletter. All residents were notified of this chance via the January, 2014 newsletter. Inorder for a resident to receive this new digitl edition, they will need to prove the RHA with a curent/valid email address. This can be noted on the membership renewal for or by calling any current board member.
