Settlers Crossing HOA Dues

Posted in: Settlers Crossing

We didn't get a notice and I asked our neighbors and they didn't either!

Did anyone vote on amending the covenants regarding dog issues in our neighborhood as discussed on this forum earlier this fall?

From what I remember-

Barking dog issues...rendered moot.

Interior fence heights > 5'...unresolved but better to leave "as is" for continuity.

ATV ridding in common areas...consensus was "Call the sheriff if you see it"

Watering and mowing...Go with the new contract, maybe mow every other week during the dog days. (Rutting from the ATV's cost us money to fix. I think the added bill will be sent to the riders that get caught...Just kidding)

No buying common land.

Dues...Raise'em !  (I can't remember how much. 100 maybe 2. Peanuts averaged over a year)

New Prez...No opposition.. ( I think there were about (12) people wanting the position so it was close...wait   no, I take that back. There was only one man with the sand. Cheers to that man for stepping forward :)

Events...whittled down to just the Fourth of July.   sad :(

Newsletter...Gone. :(

New Social director...No opposition. Once again it was close. It was between no one and a very nice lady who (thank goodness) wanted the job. Cheers!

I'm sure that my recollection is askew and not 100% factual. I've forgotten details but know that when I left I felt good about the decisions that were made and feel grateful for the neighbors that care.

Approximately how many homeowners were at the meeting?

Maybe 17-20  home owners including officers and maybe 3-4 proxy.
