The results of the December 2009 voting on the establishment of a Renwick Homeowners Association showed overwhelming support for the organization. By a margin of 3 to 1, the property owners decided to request that the Berwick Development District move forward with establishment of the association and transfer the role currently tasked to the BDD to that organization. This will allow the residents some control over the future of the subdivision.
At the organizational meeting held on December 7, 2009 at the Berwick Civic Center, additional input was received from concerned owners. Those concerns were considered and where appropriate incorporated into the final documents that will be presented to the BDD at a public meeting to be held in February 2010. Additionally, a list of nominees was collected at the meeting.
Ballots will be sent out to property owners at the end of January 2010 so that the initial Board of Directors can be elected. The BDD has requested that the Board be chosen prior to the transfer of responsibility. Property owners should watch their mail for the aforementioned ballots and return by the posted deadline.
