RPNA History and Accomplishments

The River Park Neighborhood Association ( RPNA ) was established in January 1993 to "enhance the livability of the River Park area by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication with and acting as a liaison between the neighborhood, government agencies and other neighborhoods and associations". The RPNA is also dedicated to providing "an open process by which members of the neighborhood may involve themselves in the affairs of the neighborhood".

Some of RPNA's accomplishments have been:

Established a state recognized neighborhood watch program.

Worked with local, state, and federal officials to secure 100-year flood protection for River Park, a change that resulted in $100s of dollars in savings for every household in River Park.

Secured improvments to the Glen Hall Park pool, including new shade structures and a slide.

The RPNA sponsors several community-buidling events. These include a pancake breakfast, Fourth of July parade and carnival, a light up the night flashlight walk against crime, Pops in the Park concert, Screen on the Green, a fall celebration, a holiday decorating contest, and two general membership meetings (April and November).

Membership is open to all residents, property owners, governmental agencies, business licensees, and non profit organizations located within its boundaries.

Join the Association!

The Park maintains its spectacular reputation thanks to the work of the RPNA. Please join us in making our neighborhood an even more desirable place to live. Household memberships start at $10 for one year, $18 for two years, and $25 for three years.
