Over the last few weeks a number of incidents have occured that I find disturbing, especially in River Park. Last weekend someone spray painted the buildings at the park. Recently, lockers at the school were set on fire. Also, if you compare 1998 crime stats with those of 1999 there was a 50% increase in car vandalism. Anyone interested in getting involved with night patrol?

Police apathy
Since I leave for work @ 5:00 am,
night patrols are a little rough on me.
My question is what good does it do, when the police refuse to respond to vandalism complaints ? I have filed three reports in two years, documenting now over $4500.00 in damages and countless hours cleaning up the mess, and none of these complaints has ever been assigned to an investigator. Good luck.

IF WE ALL DO A LITTLE WE CAN...
...DO A LOT.
IF WE ALL TAKE AN EFFORT TO TAKE OUR OWN
PREVENTITIVE MEASURES TO DEPLETE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A CRIME TO TAKE PLACE WE ELIMINATE 95% OF CRIME IN RIVER PARK, BECAUSE 95% OF THE CRIME IS CRIME OF OPPORTUNITY.
1) CHECK YOUR SELF AND YOUR PROPERTY
2) RE-CHECK
3) KEEP AN OPEN EYE FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTS
-ARROUD YOUR STREET
4) REPORT OR TAKE NOTE OF ALL SUSPICIOUS
ACTS.
