Today there was a man or young man knocking on my door. I was wondering if he approached any ones house as well. He was wearing a navy blue hat, tan shorts, and baby blue shirt. I did he him walking on the block of 8500 Brushy Creek. He was knocking left and then came back. When he came back the second time he tried to turn my door knob. Then he just walked away. I should maybe have called the cops. But I do not open the door to anyone, unless I know them.

Heck yeah you should have called the cops! No one should be trying to turn your doorknob!

Yes, this same kid came to my door as well. He had on khaki shorts and a blue Abercrombie and Fitch shirt and was wearing a hat, carrying a navy umbrella. When I opened the door he said "Hello, I am a neighbor and I live on Blue Ridge, I am embarrasing myself by going door to door in the rain today..." His left eye was REALLY red and it was a lazy eye as well, almost looked like a fake eye. He had an odd accent and told some sob story about how he was adopted from Russia and now goes to TCU and was selling books to earn money for a trip. You know, your typical scam story. I told him Im not in the position to help him out and he said " Do you have $5 I can have, this is my last day I can sell books" I told him no and shut the door. I NEVER EVER answer the door either but I was expecting an AT&T guy this afternoon so I opened the door without looking. STUPID mistake!

Well when I saw him walking later on on Brushy Creek I did call the cops. I explained what happened and that I did see him again hours later still walking. They sent someone to patrol to see if they would see him. But yes I will call right away next time.
