MISUNDERSTOOD

I am the property owner of the 2 houses on N.Blvd. and Ohio that everyone seems to be chatting about. I have lived in the neighborhood my entire life and will always live in this neighborhood. This is home to me, but I have learned it is impossible to make a Home on a busy arterial road. N. Blvd. has been blighted for years and the only structures that are well kept and appealling on this road are the professional offices. My only intention for purchasing these properties were to rehab them and convert one of them to my office for my legal service business and sell one to another professional that could run his or her small practice out of. These types of offices generate very little traffic and employees are gone by 5:00.They provide much needed lighting along N. Blvd. and enhance the overall appearance. I take alot of pride in my neighborhood and just want to see it reach its full potential. These structures have been blighted for long enough and will continue to be if something isn't done. There is no interest from anyone when it comes to purchasing these structures as a home. Therefore, they will continue to be rentals and no money will ever be invested in them by the owners. Professionals have the financial backing to rehab these homes for there small offices and continue to maintain them. I never intended to make so called ''enemies'' w/ anyone and really don't think of anyone as my enemy.I am just trying to do what I think will be a vast improvement for the entire neighborhood. This whole rezoning process was new to me, and I apologize if some feel that I didn't take all of the proper steps. I am not a developer or investor that is looking to turn a profit, I'm just a lifelong resident of the neighborhood that would like to see an improvement to this blighted corridor that is the entrance to our neighborhood. So please, stop thinking of me as your enemy(because i'm not)and try to think of me as your neighbor. P.S. As soon as I heard there were problems with the signs, I'm the one who called the realtor and asked that she remove them.
