Mr. Vincent Moore
Office: 502-593-9372
One evening Minister J.L. Smith was watching a newscast
about a young man 18 years old
facing two or more life
sentences for murder, when he
conceived the idea for the
Stop the Violence-A Community
Against the Violence campaign. A non-profit community based program, that
solicits government support that will work with law enforcement, using volunteers
in our community and all related resources, to reduce
to a minimum, and with a long term goal of eradicating the senseless killings in our
communities, by those who live
in the communities.
Now the question is how can you the body of Christ help,
Minister Smith in his efforts? He needs your support of this organized effort to make our
communities safer for our
children and ourselves.
It makes no sense for us to
protest the killings of Black
Americans by white police officers, and do little of nothing about the hundreds being murdered by Black on Black violence. Someone said, if Dr. King were alive today, he would be speaking to Black
families, about unity, and children killing children, babies killing babies!!
The great commission to take the gospel into all the world is at the core of the Stop the Violence movement. If we do not take the church to them, God forbid they bring guns to church. All of
us that wear the name of Christ are responsible for
carrying out this commandment. The killings will not stop until we get involved, and take back our
communities, Stop the Violence.
It is time for Black Americans to air their own dirty laundry.
ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COMMUNITY
CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.
Minister J.L. Smith wants to
Thank You in advance for all
the support and help he knows
he will receive, and may God
keep you and yours in perfect
peace.
To share ideas and to make the community aware of the many things that we can do together to help stop the
violent epidemic that is
taking place in our communities and across the nation.
To educate, prepare, mobilize
and empower all willing participants in our community
to reach out and seek out
young men and women who are perpetuating senseless acts of voilence. To listen, advise
and persuade them to change
the way they think with their
cooperation. To give them love
and a sense of value and worth. To show them that we
care, and gain their trust and
respect. To offer them salvation though Christ and His Cross-not religion. To restore their confidence in the system and show how it can
work for them.
Our Goal: Is prevention, easier said than done. Every time we can play a part in stopping the violence and save a life, we have reached our goal. It is a goal that we will strive to reach over and over again.
