what are our rights to noise polution?

Posted in: River Trails

The teen curfew only applies to being out in public space.  If they are at their own dwelling, the curfew would not apply.  Your best bet is to contact the police when the disturbance is happening.  As another member posted, the police will not say who made the complaint. However, if you have addressed it before, they will likely be able to put two and two together.

You may also try addressing it with the new Neighborhood Patrol Officer. His name is Ofc. R. Williams. He can be reached via email at reginald.williams@fortworthgov.org. He may be able to offer you some guidance with regards to this specific situation.

Best of luck!

THANK YOU ALL WHOSE' ADVICE I GREATLY APPRECIATE!

It's nice to know that there are still some people in the neighborhood who believe in it!

It's been a long road, but either through your comments on this neighborhood link or because we finally got the nerve to Yet GO BACK AGAIN'....and try to resolve the situation as Neighbors; that I can report....AT THIS TIME'

"That they are now being understanding! "

Or maybe it was the last time'....in which it was ACTUALLY  " 1:05AM early in the morning...Sunday early morning to be exact', that they actually turned on their back porch light, and several young children (about 10/11-through maybe 14/15 years of age) ran out the back door, and started plaing at ONE O' FIVE IN THE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING....when I yelled out my bedroom window....stating

"DO YOU NOT HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD....that startled them, AND as they ran inside...... I yelled'  I want to speak with your Father tomorrow!"

So after Church that morning, Myself and my spouse, went next door and knocked on the Door!.... to no avail!

But I left a nice message....simply asking to please call me on my cell phone when they get this taped note. I want to address as Neighbors the reason as to why' someone would want to play Basketball at 1AM in the moring!

Since then....I have not heard from them, and in all honesty, the young man has refrained from playing basketball late at night, and early morning hours!  So to them....Thank YOU .

This however, has put a bad image of the neighborhood in our minds, after almost 15years....that WE have started looking into getting our home ready for the Sale!

Thank You again' those who responded in regards to our issue!

It will be sad', to leave an area that WE thought we would GROW OLD in!

I'm very pleased that they are now being neighborly.  I hope they continue. And, I applaud you and your spouse for handling it in a neighborly fashion.
