Legacy Pointe Property Owners' Association

The city had a meeting last night (2/9/06) to obtain neighborhood input on what should be in the new park and what it should be named.

Features that were suggested at the meeting:

Pavilion
Two playground areas for younger and older children
Garden
Walking Trail
Tennis Court
Drinking Fountain
Restrooms


Suggestions for park names have also been coming in:

Harmony Grove
Tipton Park on Owl Creek


If you have suggestions for features of the park or ideas for a name, please post them here. I will compile a list and will forward the information to the park planners.

Parks Update

This is a note from Connie Edmonston, the Parks and Recreation Director for Fayetteville:

''Since Matt Mihalevich was transferred to be the Trails Coordinator, this project does not have a planner to work on it at this time. That transfer went quickly and I had hoped to have him working on it, but there was too much pressure for work to be done on trails. I am sorry to say, but this project will have to be delayed until we hire a new Park Planner and get them orientated. Looks like it will be May before we get a replacement. This will be a high priority project as soon as a new Park Planner is hired.''
