Thiswill address how the Forest Service plans to manage the Guanella Pass Corridor and Mt. Evans Wilderness area accessible from the Pass. This plan is the product of a 4-6 month long working session with a group of citizens and some government officials.
The road surface test strips were laid on Guanella pass late this summer for public review. All comments on the 6 types of road surfaces that were put down for public review should be sent to Rick Cushing at the FHWA. His address appears on various parts of this web site.
The FHWA tentatively has planned a November 6th or 7th meeting with County Officials, the Forest Service, Georgetown representatives and others involved to discuss the next moves. The public will be welcome to attend to observe, but not participate. We will update you when we know the exact date.
Other questions? Call Rick Cushing at the FHWA.
