In the preparation of the Mail Room yesterday, couple of issues were raised.
Firstly, for security purposes, the Postal Service requests the Mail Room door be locked at around 10pm. When I mentioned this to some people, they had the impression that it would be locked 24/7 and we would all be issued keys. To get a key cut for each household, would cost mucho $'s. Is it really necessary to have the door locked during the day? What do you think? And is there anyone who would need access after 10pm?
Secondly, the mail carrier raised the issue of parking availability outside the Mail Room. Yesterday am, the only space available was outside GMAC in S Coffman. When another business is opened in the cafe, this will no doubt become even more of a problem. For now, can we request that people not park there between 9.00-12.00pm.
