Is it going to take a child being ran over to slow you people down on Gardere? We need speed bumps on the front two streets and maybe a stop sign half way down Gardere (not sure name of the street before exit). What about brick pavers such as those in Univesity Terrace? I am speaking on behalf of 6 homeowners with children on Gardere and I am sure there are others. If we need to pass some special assessment or somehting to pay for the speed bumps then let's meet an discuss.

I am consistently seeing the same speeders and I have taken the ''be nice to thy neighbor approach'' and that hasn't worked. I have been cursed, flipped off and even threatened. Enough is enough.. I(we) plan to contact the SPD on daily basis with the license plate number of the speeder until something is done or the problem is corrected.

Chris, I am on the same page with you. I live on Demery and we have a stop sign in the middle of the street which my wife asked to have placed. Not only do the young and old speed they run the stop sign like it is not there. I have a 5 and a 6 year old. I am sick of this in our neighborhood. I am looking forward to getting some refreshments and sitting on my front porch to watch tickets issued. I estimate that some people are going around 45 or 50 mph.

Repeat Speeders

Have you noticed it is usually the same vehicles that speed through and dont stop at the stop signs? Maybe they dont think they should have to obey the law or it is not for them! Perhaps we should start publishing the license numbers and make of car! Think that would get their attention?
