Requirements for joining SSG50+:

• You must be a single, divorced, or widowed woman at least 50 yrs. old plus.
• There is no membership fee.  There are currently 21 members.
• You must have access to communicate with the members via internet email
• We hold a business/social meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM  The purpose of our meetings is to have dinner, discuss group business, and plan activities.  The monthly meeting is hosted by a different member each month and may be held at her residence (a $5.00 per member fee is given to the hostess), or in a restaurant chosen by the hostess (each member pays for their own dinner).  Members are encouraged to attend at least 2 meetings/year and must be present in order to participate and vote on decisions/changes within the organization.
• Members are responsible for planning a minimum of 3 activities and attend 2 events planned by other members per calendar year to be considered an active member. Activities may be scheduled for any time of day or night at the discretion of the member who is hosting that particular event.  An event can be a movie, theater, day trip or overnight trip to a specific location, a gathering at the member's home, etc., anything that a member may be interested in doing.  She would then send out an event email to see if other members would like to join her.  If one or more members respond their interest to participate, the event hostess would then get credit for planning that event.
• A calendar of events is maintained and distributed to all members on a weekly basis so that members can keep track of planned activities.
• Anyone who is interested in joining SSG must complete an Application for New Member form and email it to one of the contacts provided.  She should then, within 60 days, attend  a meeting or an event in order to meet some of the other members in SSG .
