Strengthening South Memphis

Our mission is to empower the South Memphis community through Workforce Development, Preventative Health Initiatives, Education Reform, Economical Solutions, and a healthy Environment.

Neighbor to Neighbor

Our organization comprises three districts of Memphis; Whitehaven, Southwest Memphis, and South Memphis. Twelve residents from each district serve as representatives.

The boundaries are the railroad just north of South Parkway to the north, the Mississippi River to the west, Airways Blvd. to the east, and State Line Road to the south.

Community Development

A large part of our environmental program is to make sure planning and development within South Memphis is in the best interest of it's residents. Development whether new or renovated must be safe, attractive, and necessary. It can not cause residents or existing businesses to suffer in any way.

In residential development we support single family homes or duplex/townhouse construction instead of warehousing citizens in apartments.

We also support programs to help low income families achieve home ownership.
