The Springvale Neighborhood Organization is a volunteer neighborhood organization, meeting on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Methodist Church. Our meetings usually consists of the general meeting and a speaker. Speakers from Northwest Vista College, Lackland City Elementary Parents Place Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for Northside Independent School District, and someone speaking on the Y2K problem. Our speaker this month (May) will be Dan Alvarado with the NISD Police. Our organization has taken an active role in Lackland City Elementary School, and last year supplied over $500.00 in school supplies at the beginning of the school year. We participate in The COPS program, and in National Night Out in August. You won't see much grafitti in our area, we have a team that paints almost every day. I invite you to come to our meetings and join our group, we love to see you at the next meeting.
