St. Bernard Pet Therapy Program
PET THERAPY
The group meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
St Bernard's Checkerboard Room.
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
MEMBERS WELCOME !
Our mission is to create an orginization of pet/handler teams to visit anyone in our community. We will go wherever we are welcome. Some of the typical sites are homes, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc. Some of the Red Cross team members were invited to assist with the grieving process of children and their families at a funeral. They were present for the visitation and funeral service.
How to Qualify
Pets/Handlers must meet certain criteria. Dogs must be ''CGC'' (Canine Good Citizens)certified.
We are curently developing a criteria for felines.
