FYI - BioNomics, under the supervision of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities, will be cleaning the wastewater pipe adjacent to the creek behind Rosecrest and Candlewood Drive. They will start cleaning the pipe near Archdale Drive and continue down to Edgewater Drive next week.

National Resource Protection (NRP), another contractor, will install grease control devices into some of the manholes as early as next week. NRP will then come out on a weekly basis to monitor the control devices over the next 10 months.

In recent years, this area had wastewater overflows caused by grease being poured down kitchen sinks. The devices will be inside the manholes and help break up grease before it clogs the pipe.
