Sunset Downs Homeowners Association was turned over from the developer in November 1997. The Board of Directors were;
Robert A. Boehm Board Member and President
Steven Snow Board Member and Vice President
Donna Snow Board Member
The Association was given a check for just over $5,000.00 and a list of the current Homeowners.
Steve and Donna had a Baby girl in December 1999, and resigned from the association.
Carol Ramsay and Robin Talley took the open seats at that time and fulfilled the positions until the end of the term in November of 2000.
In November 2000 no one else sought the seat as a Board Member so the incumbent Board Members filled the seat for the next term of three years.
In March 2001, Robert resigned from the Board and shortly after Carol resigned leaving Robin as the sole Member of the Board. Bob Neal and Scott Whitcomb filled these open positions in the fall of 2001. Robin Married and moved from Sunset Downs and vacated her seaton the Board. Robert Boehm filled the open seat in December of 2001. In March of 2002 Robert was designated as Pesident, and Scott Whitcomb as Vice -President for the remainder of the term of 2002. After the 2002 term ended, apparently the Association fell to the way side. It was reorganized and headed by Mr. James Kelso in an effort to get badly needed repairs made to the alley ways. Money held by the previous Association was recovered and turned over to Keith Collins Company. Keith Collins Company is a Management Company that helps Associations develop and grow. Mr. Kelso the acting President at the time chose this company who manages many other Associations.
James Kelso took over as President of the Board of Directors in 2005. Under Mr. Kelso's direction the alley ways were repaved, money was collected from the previous Association, and a new management company was hired.
Keith Collins Company, LLC is the Management Company hired by Mr. Kelso to oversee the management of the Association. In 2008 a new board was elected for 3 year terms. Still serving are Joe KatterJohn, Varene Gummersall, Judy Davidson and Pam Grabeel. A strong effort has been made to get homeowners to maintain their property and obey the Covenants, along with attempts to encourage more of a neighborhood attitude.
Signs have been placed at 16 of the 18 alleyway entrances donoting PRIVATE DRIVE, NO PARKING and SPEED LIMIT OF 10 MPH.
