Taft Canyon's Neighborhood Watch Program

Keeping us all safe...

Did you know that we have an active and effective Neighborhood Watch group in Taft Canyon? We do!

Our neighborhood is divided into 28 different sections, each with it's own block captain. You will hear from your block captain when burglary, vandalism or some other concerning event occurs.

Conversely, if you have an incident or disturbance to report, please contact your block captain, or Phyllis Kane, our Neighborhood Watch chairperson, at 225-9737 or kanes123@aol.com. Phyllis can also tell you who your block captain is, if you aren't sure.

When reporting an incident, please provide the following information:

* Description of disturbance

* Date, time, area where it occurred

* If the sheriff’s office or other agency was informed

We do recommend that you contact the sheriff’s department directly, in addition to relaying the incident to our Neighborhood Watch group.

The sheriff's department is pleased that we have such an effective Neighborhood Watch program. They are encouraging us to be vigilant, and bold, about reporting suspicious behavior. Thanks for your participation, and your concern for our neighborhood!
