The Blackwash Televised Art Gallery got started on one idea: why not make the artists who produce such fine works as visual as their work? Why not put a face to what is sometimes so extraordinary and a voice to what is admired by so many: their art. The BTAG airs on BXNY's Channel 70 Sat. at 8pm and on MNN's Channel 56 at 3:00am for moonlighters. I hope you saw the interviews with Creole owner Kevin Walters, who just received a Community Service Award and was featured in Harlem News. Interviews with Maximalist artist Stevenski Brewster, female drummer and visual artist Janine Gowers and Deneen Coleman-Ruff were the most recent airings. Please keep watching for interviews with artists Ellen McQueen, Victoria Harris, Mikki Powell, Sabela Arias of Spain and others.
