Ok well I will be out of town for the new posted date of HOA and I would like to be apart of this voting as I DO pay my HOA fee's so is there and absent ballot that can be obtained what is proticol especially since alot of people have been voicing there opinions about the timing issue of these meetings seems unfair if a person can not attend and they do pay there HOA fees they should be allow to vote. Also are we allowed to hold our own community meeting upon ourselves. There are alot of things I am observing being done by people who live here that shouldn't be. Such as dumping there ashes from tabletop BBQ's in the pond or throwing bread to the birds in the lake. Perhaps they are not aware that they shouldn't be doing those things. All owners who rent out there townhomes should  be accountable for giving knowlegde to their tennents. I also think that some approval needs to be done on the part of the HOA who owners rent their townhomes to, I feel alot of renters just don't care and this is why our community is becoming run down. Fences being dented, the front of our wall "The Oakwood" smashed into, the Garbage being thrown into the buildings costing us money for clean up. The dogs being walked on other peoples property without being picked up, why don't they walk their dogs in the area they live in, instead walking over to MY PROPERTY. I live at an end unit so they walk in between my building and the next. There are empty lots which I know are NOT maintained by the landscaping company which is another issue, however they have the option of walking there dogs there. Perhaps we should designate an area to walking the dogs... I am not going to follow people to where they live to get there house # for the letter or fine, which they disregard anyway or do not pay fines. We can't even get people to pay the HOA fees comeon now. I am sorry if I seem mad but I am upset and the way this community is handling itself and I know alot of people agree with me. I like to be proud of were I live when I invite people to my home or have relatives visit from out of state. In the 1 year's time that I have owned my townhome I see a BIG difference and I am NOT happy about it. I do have suggestions and ideas but I cannot do it alone that's why I suggest a community meeting amongst the neighborhood to we can come together as a communtiy and make a difference.

I am 100% with you in having meetings with the homeowners of Oakwood and Brentwood. I think a HUGE problem is the renters who live in the community who either don't know the rules or do and simply choose not to follow. There is absolutely nothing that says we can not get together as a group of neighbors to discuss issues that we think need to be addressed and corrected. These issues are the same issues I know we all are having and are mentioned above. I have two dogs who I walk several times a day and while I am picking up their waste someone will let their dog defecate in front of me and not pick it up. I have started walking up to people and handing them an extra bag so they can pick it up. The fines will not work because they are not forced to pay them. The only way anything is going to change is if we come together, make group decisions and help enforce our own community rules.

I am willing to work together to set a date and time that we can come together to start something so we can gain some control of our own community.

I think a community meeting would be great, one we would get to know each other in person, and two we could all come together to attempt to identify and address issues.  I think meeting in one of the pool areas one weekend afternoon or evening would be a great start. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to facilitate a community meeting.

I completely agree. We need a community meeting asap. I pretty sure  we can set a date and time that it is convenient for everyone.

I spoke with Ms. Polk 3 months ago about the dog waste. I came up with some ideas but Ms. Polk told me that HOA does not have the enough money to place any signs in our community.
