Creative Director
Theatre workshops designed with the actor in mind.
Focus on scene study, character analysis, and story-line fulfillment.
Concentration on actor contribution, collaboration, and creativity.
If you want to do a different thing, you have to do things differently. Think about that for a moment.
If you take the same approach to acting and theater as everyone else, how will you stand out? What makes you different? Why should people come to see you perform?
The Intentional Theatre believes the actor is the key to unlocking the story of the play. And our focus is on what you, the actor, have to contribute.
Memorize your lines, repeat them in order, remember your blocking, keep the pace up, repeat as necessary.
This formula for a show is about exciting to watch as it is to read.
Rather than cram 60 pages into your head in 3-4 short weeks with blocking, we spend the first several rehearsals at the table. We read, we talk, we discuss, we argue, we disagree, we agree, we understand. And then we stand it up, with a confidence in the story that enlivens the performance.
