You've probably noticed the tranquil little park at the back of the development, bordering the creek. And you probably also noticed the gorgeous poppies that began springing up a year or two ago. Well, we owe Jackie Johnson, of 24 Las Praderas, a big "THANK YOU" for nurturing them so successfully that they've spread to cover much of the park.
As we all know, the city budget is tight, and a permanent installation of groundcover, shrubs, etc. is probably not going to happen anytime soon, mainly due to the lack of regular watering. A system is installed, but has not been turned on due to lack of funding.
So, until times are better, enjoy the poppies, and thank Jackie when you do!
