The T-Bird Ranch Crime Busters, a certified Block Watch Program sanctioned by the Cactus Park Precinct of the Phoenix Police Department, was formed in June of 2001 with the basic principal of erradicating crime in our area, while bringing our neighbors closer together through community events and activities.
Working hand-in-hand with the Phoenix Police Department, and Bernard-Allison Management, we have initiated many community programs to bring our crime rates down, and our introduce our neighbors to eachother.
Through our 'Courtesy Patrol Program' we have taken many of the same features of the Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol Program and created a daily patrol team to address both safety and emergency issues as they arise. With the cooperation of management, safety issues such as lighting and missing or damaged items throughout the complex are repaired or replaced quickly and efficiently. By patrolling the complex during various times of the day, our Patrol Team is able to identify potential emergencies as well as suspicious persons or vehicles and report them to the proper authorities, many times before a situation gets out of hand.
Community Events, such as our recent 'Pool Party' in June, draw many residents and their children. Sponsored by our Block Watch and Management Personel, we were able to reach out to new residents about the benefits of the Block Watch Program, and introduce many families to eachother. We would like to thank all of the members who participated in the organization of the June Pool Party, and those residents who made it such a success!
Meetings of the Block Watch are held on the 1st Thursday of each month, alternating between the East and West Clubhouses (Even months are held on the East side, Odd months on the West side). If you are interested in becoming a member of the T-Bird Ranch Crime Busters, and you can't make it to the next meeting, simply the office and leave a message. We will be happy to sign you up, and help get you involved in your community.
By incorportating the Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol with the T-Bird Ranch Crime Busters, we have increased our security as a community by providing roaming community patrols by people trained through a 10 hour Patrol Course.
These courses, provided by the Phoenix Police Department, are held every other month and cover many topics including 911 operations, basic patrol techniques, proper interaction with police, and subject identification along with many other crime deterring and informative practices.
