We are commited to providing family development education and supportive services. We provided family advocacy, referrals, mentoring services, family development education, financial literacy, tutoring services grades K-12, and mediation.
Franklin County Children Services reports over 6,000 maltreatment cases monthly and 3,000 children remain in the custody of Franklin County Children Services, either in a foster home or institution.The cost to Franklin County residences is over 134 million dollars annually, as reported in 2004 in Franklin County Children Services Operating Budget.
Social and economic prevention for troubled families and children must be developed at the neighborhood level to build a community approach that address the issues of the child and family's at-risk.
We focus on providing services that improve family functioning and economic independence. Our services intergrate solution-focused interventions and conflict mangement strategies that prevent depression, family violence, substance abuse, and child abuse, neglect, or dependency.
