About our association

Upper Hurstville Residents' Association

The UHRA was established in 1993 to coordinate with the Neighborhood Watch program of the New Orleans Police Department. It is a volunteer organization with officers, a board of directors, block captains, and concerned neighbors working toward a common goal of maintaining a harmonious, crime-free neighborhood.

The organization has proven to be an effective deterrent to crime and a vehicle to create a friendlier neighborhood able to cooperate effectively on matters of mutual interest. UHRA extends from Prytania to Magazine Street, and Nashville to Audubon Park.
