UHRA Wins the Award for "The Night Out Against Crime"

The City of New Orleans and the Police Department recognized the Upper Hurstville Resident?’s Assn. for its participation in ?“The Night Out Against Crime.?” This annual event raises crime awareness for neighborhood organizations and promotes cooperation with our boys in blue. The organizers of last years party, Lisa Brookings and Margaret Maxwell were on hand to receive the award from 2nd District Police Captain Edwin Hosli and Superintendent Eddie Compass. Also shown in the picture is the ever- pretentious Miss Julia Nelson who stole the show, and consequently, the award. We would also like to recognize the long commitment by fallen Officer Marrione to this national event. His commitment and sprit will be missed and he stands as a model for those carrying the torch for the future.
