Dear Neighbor:
November 15th is our opportunity to create a security-taxing district for our neighborhood. For only $1.00 per day, a $365.00 annual fee, we protect our families, neighbors and property with 24 hour coverage. It's imperative that we vote YES on The Upper Hurstville Security District proposition. If this passes we anticipate lowering costs, increasing patrol and escort services to 24 hours a day. Please vote and encourage all members and neighbors from our district between Magazine and Prytania and the park and Nashville) sympathetic to this proposition. For safer streets and increased protection, please vote YES “To Secure Our Future.” Vote absentee if you will not be in town on November 15. This is vital for improved security. Thank You!
The UHRA Board
1. The 2004 fee will be $365.00. Please note that the proposition states that we have up to $485.00 to spend per year until 2010 with inflation and cost of living increases. The first year is $365.00, not $485.00.
2. We would like to have patrol 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, watching our homes during vulnerable hours day and night.
3. Crime remains a problem in our neighborhood. Auto-theft, vandalism, burglaries and even armed robbery remain a threat to each family.
4. Our neighborhood association, the UHRA, currently provides limited security nine hours each day. This vote will provide far more security for less money.
5. The Security District will be governed by a Board consisting exclusively of neighborhood residents. 100% of the fee will go towards supporting neighborhood security and for no other purpose.
6. This will make our families safer, increase property values, and enhance the neighborhood. Please join us in voting YES for the Upper Hurstville Security District.
Make our neighborhood safer.
