Support The Troops

What is that statement? Political affliations aside how can you say that one party cares less for the Troops? My cousin is currently stationed in Iraq with the Marines in Lima Company and I pray for his safety and his safe return every day. Your asinine statement that because a person is a Republican they don't voice thier worries or concerns about the Troops are the types of statements that serve no good for anyone. It was meant to try and drive a wedge where one does not exist. Republicans, Democrats and Independants support the Troops. They can disagree about the policies, but to make the blanket statement that you did shows how petty and vile a person you can be.

I have worked closely with the men and women of the National Guard, many who have served in Iraq and support the war on terrorism. Those men and women have my admiration for the sacrifices that they have made on the behalf of every American so that you can have the right to make the statements that you are making. People are dying in Iraq so that you can sit behind your computer and type your vile and vicious postings. They are making this world safe for people like you so that you can complain about the government's policies or leaders. Republicans, Democrats and Independants are dying in Iraq for your freedoms. I am proud of my Cousin and my prayers are with him. I am concerned and worried about his safety especially after four men from his Company were killed earlier this year. The front line is miles away, but the home front is in every home. He is defending every American's rights and freedoms, even you Ms. White regardless of your statements or feelings. I'm a Republican and I voice my concerns and worries about the Troops. Sleep peacefully knowing that he and others like him are standing watch over this Country while you spew your hatred and vile attacks.

I'm 45 years old and in the Special Council Meeting Discussion 6/21 heading of New 2theview by Irene White quote ''I know personally what went and goes on in Valleyview.I lived there 37 years, when it was good and now.'' If my Valleyview Elem. math is still good today. I was born in 1960 you lived there before I was born and for 37 yrs so you moved in 1997?? maybe?? Your still beating this bush? You've got issues that go way beyond Valleyview politics and the 'in crowd'.
I knew when I moved back home of the things that were going on here. Yet, I still came home with a positive attitude and a willingness to help. With an open mind I started reading this discussion site and my opinions of you, thru your negative, vindictive, malicious postings were formed. Nothing you have posted has been a positive reflection of your work for the village or of the village itself.

I moved to Valleyview in 1967. I thought you meant you grew up with Bob's kids. So you grew up with Bob and Tom.

Evidently you haven't talked with them since moving back.

You are the one who has tunnel vision. My kids also grew up with them. Bob is my son's best friend.

The Village authority is so biased against those who disagree with them that NONE of them came to Bob's mother's funeral in March. Nor send flowers as that have for others. The Graves have lived in Valleyview longer than anyone.

I am glad my kids didn't have the same Valleyview math teacher as you.

My issues have everything to do with Valleyview and the ''in Crowd''. I guess you must know who they are, with making that statement. That is your problem. I want to help the residents who have a problem with them.

If you think the truth is being malicious and vindictive, that is also your problem. If you want to take as truth according to what the ''in crowd'' says, that is your problem too.

As far as what I did for the residents, it takes cooperation from whole council. The Voice said, we don't give a damn about your opinion. I guess you haven't bothered to find out who the Voice is.

My Statement


I do support the troops. I DO NOT support Bush for sending them in harms ways.

My statement was to show that you don't have to live a certain place to have concern and voice your opinion.

Even accountable republicans are very upset with the situation in Iraq.

You forget that ANYONE can complain about the government and the leaders. That is why America is what it is.

Is it a false statement that the people who voted for Bush made it possible for our young people to be sent in harms way? Is it not true that recruiting is down because of what is going on in Iraq? Don't you think our young people should be going to college and enjoying their life and family as you, they are being killed?

You don't miss an opportunity to take the issue off Valleyview and your friends in power.

You are still young enough to go to Iraq. You have no children. It is all well and good to ''sleep peacefully'' while others are being killed for you.

You don't miss an opportunity to spout your virtue. You even voted to take funding from the valleyview police. Stop being so pious.
