VIA Metropolitan Transit Update

New Numbers

Via Metropolitan Transit now has two new phone numbers to help people contact the transit agency, and the calls are free from a touch-tone phone.

The new number for VIA bus patrons is 1-888-362-2020. This number provides the same access to VIA's Customer Service line as 362-2020, except the new number is toll-free from any pay phone in the area. VIAtrans patrons also have a new toll-free phone number to help them with their customer needs. This number is 1-866-362-5050.

"Now when people want to contact VIA, they will not have to worry about having the right change for a pay phone,' said VIA's general manager, John Milam. "Along with our local number and our viainfo.net web site, these new numbers offer another free way to get rider information."

The toll-free numbers will also allow a person living outside of the local phone service to contact VIA without having to contact VIA without having to pay long distance charges.
