The Village Meadows area consists of two primary subdivisions.
The first, South of W. Morningside Dr. originally called "Village Meadows", was built in late 1959, through early 1960.
The second, North of W. Morningside Dr. was called "Somerset, was built in late 1973 through early 1974.
In early to mid 1998, several Block Watch groups, concerned residents, and the City of Phoenix came together to take back the neighborhood from Crime and Blight, and to restore the neighborhoods pride and safety. The Village Meadows Concerned Citizens Neighborhood Association was then formed to complete the task under the guise of a "Fightback" organization. The Association then became the official "voice" of the 1,300 single family residents, 9 multi-family complexes, and numerous businesses located within the neighborhoods boundaries. With that destinction, that "voice" is now heard and is greatly recognized around the Valley, in the City, and the courts!
The VMCCNA IS NOT a homeowner's association. There are no dues, no fees, nor are there assessments, fines, or liens. The VMCCNA DOES NOT establish LAWS, CODES, REGULATIONS, or C.C.&R's.
