A Special Council Meeting has been called for Tuesday June 21, 2005 at 6pm at the Village Hall.

On the agenda for the meeting is the following legislation:

-Variance for a Home Being Built on Eldon Avenue

-Approval of a Contract with Franklin County for Guardrail Repairs

-Placing a 5.5 mill Operating Levy on the November Ballot

-Internet Service for the Village Hall

If you have any questions please contact the Village Hall at 279-5630, a Member of Council or the Mayor. The legislation will be read only. No vote will be taking place. Residents are encouraged to attend to voice any concerns they may have.
Still Doing Business?

A variance should have been gotten WAY before any building was started. The law has been broken AGAIN ! Who are Dean Johnson's friends in the Village? Are they the other INVESTORS who have the ear of Parrish and the mayor? Hellwege pulled the same trick. The residence didn't want to make him tear down his barn after it was well under way. But they said they would never trust him again, because he lied and broke the law on what he was building. How soon people forget.

All you have to do is call Franklin County about the guardrails. It is their responsibility to maintain.

Parrish forgot to say if the levy was an increase.

The residents should refuse to allow council to give Dean Johnson a variance and obey the law.

Have the nerve to file a complaint against council if they do it.

What Law Was Broken?

No building has begun in the Village. Mr. Johnson cannot begin building and cannot obtain a permit from the County until a variance is granted. If you can show where any laws have been broken on this matter I would appreciate it greatly. There will not be another ''Barn'' situation under my watch.

Not all guardrails Ms. White. I am not sure where you get your information but once again because you have not been attendance of any meetings you would not know that this has been discussed numerous times before Council. The guardrail in need of repair is half owned by the City of Columbus so it has taken some time to get everything place to insure that the repaired guardrail for both parties is in compliance with current standards. All you have to do is ask instead of making false claims.

That is because it is not. The Levy would be a decrease for the residents. The Council is considering coming to the residents a year early to renew the Levy to reduce their tax burden a year early. We will have to see what residents think and get their input.

The Council is following the law. If you had better information Ms. White you might not make half the false claims you have made.

That is the option available to all residents. The variance will also not be passed as an emergency. The residents have been offered an opportunity to be heard at two public hearings and at least three council meetings. Input has been allowed and encouraged.
