What is the shape of today?

What is your description of the shape of the Village Today? I would be curious to hear what you believe the shape of the Village is today since you have not lived in the Village for over a year and live a considerable distance away from the Village.

There are not anonymous postings Ms. White. The username is displayed with every posting. While those posting can choose not to post their actual name, their username is posted. They are not anonymous. If postings become threatening, hostile or use inappropriate language they will be deleted and the offender can be easily tracked down. There is no favorites and everything applies equally to everyone regardless of who you are.

There was no lie. You cannot post anonymously, usernames are displayed.

Not sure where you have gotten your information Ms. White. I currently have the sole authority to delete postings. No one else has that ability. I am the coordinator for the site and have been the sole coordinator since the talk about section came back online.

I know that the Mayor does not have internet access at this time and has not had access for over the past year.

Why is the Mayor the only one that should post the 'progress' of the Village? I post updates of the Village on this site because I have the time and I feel that the residents need a more timely update than what is provided from the Messenger. Anyone is more than welcome to post their opinion of the progress of the Village. That is their right.

I do not know anyone that controls the Mayor. Also, I have not seen anyone defending the Mayor's actions. He can defend himself and speak for himself.

Quick Review

Below is the posting that I placed on the site and is a portion of the first posting for the site. It states that the site has made some changes and that usernames would be posted and hopefully prevent inappropriate postings by anonymous authors. I believe that it has worked. Ms. White would like to imply that I lied somehow about anonymous postings. Nothing has changed from day one, as anyone sees when they type a posting the author's name is (OPTIONAL). The posting of the username is not. That makes people not anonymous.

Welcome to all those visiting this site. The Talk About It section is provided here so that residents and visitors can discuss in a civil manner issues that impact Valleyview.

There have been some changes made. You will notice that when you post your messages that your username will be posted as well automatically. This is to hopefully prevent the anonymous authors from posting inappropriate content on this site. The site is monitored and inappropriate content will be deleted.
