WUCA is an officially recognized community association by Denver City Council and various agencies of city government, representing the residents, business constituents, and others interested in the positive lifestyle and development of this section of southeast Denver.
While we have only an advisory roll in civic matters, WUCA has a long-established history (since 1976) as a channel through which issues can be examined, debated, addressed, propose solutions, and generally to represent the views of our diverse residents in public and private forums.
There have been many issues engaged by WUCA: traffic, parking, zoning, zoning appeals, liquor licenses, signage, retail development, land use, disturbances, trash, animal control, law enforcement, community cooperation, neighborhood character preservation, among others.
