Easy access to downtown Denver or the mountains; small-town feel. This is what makes Wheat Ridge a great place to live.
Wheat Ridge has a rich history starting as a farming community since the gold rush days. See the historical society's link below to get the details!
The city is undergoing change - from the main streets and businesses to the make-up of the families who call the city home. Be sure to get involved in the future taking shape by keeping up on zoning initiatives, planning, and getting to know city council. It is also important to know the strategies that have already been adopted, such as the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy (NRS). A link has been posted below to the document. Be sure to attend the Comprehensive Plan Public Workshop on March 25th as well; this will be a discussion on how to shape the city for the future...

This group was built with the community in mind, since there is nothing else like it that I could find online, in groups, etc. Would love to see enough participation that we break Wheat Ridge down to "districts" or divisions where there are multiple neighborhood networks. If you are at all interested in helping get things started please contact me!
Oh, and we're on FB too!! Wheat Ridge Neighborhood Associations...:)
